There is a sense of permanence here, a sense of family and strong bonds formed through the years.  We love our home and at the request of many friends we have opened the grounds for weddings, receptions and other events.  It is especially gratifying to see the smiles on a brides face, the tears in a fathers eye as he gives his daughter away or the wonder on a grooms face as he sees his bride across the garden.  The food is good and the dancing is fun.

Greg and Susan Bailey welcome you to their 100 year old historic plantation home in the heart of North Carolina.  The location is on the outskirts of the small town of Broadway.  The setting is an 8 acre horse farm with tall magnolias, towering pines, landscaped gardens and two barns.  Along with Greg, Susan, Caitlin, Daniel, and Allena the other inhabitants will warmly greet you with a nuzzle and wag.  Two horses Sassy and Rusty graze in the pasture while Shade, the black lab, plays fetch for hours. Charlie, our schaunzer, and Jackson, the jack russell round out the welcoming committee.

Our prices are some of the most reasonable in the area and we can offer complete packages (tents, tables, chairs, flowers, catering, photography, cake) to make your wedding carefree and enjoyable.  Bridal portraits can be arranged to be taken in the house and on the grounds also. The backdrop of original lead glass doors and windows, the heart pine staircase, magnolias, or the beautiful columns and porches make for unforgettable bridal portraits.
